What's the point in 7 classes, really?
I mean, what do you use 7 classes for anyways? I don't see the point in separating between being able to repair and being able to destroy vehicles.
Limiting it to four, well-integrated classes was a step up in my opinion. I liked BF2, but BFBC2 brought some improvements to the table.
Plus, it doesn't really matter if you have an in-game squad leader unless you're playing with randoms. If you're not, there will be a guy in charge giving the orders anyways.
BFBC2 was a step up for organized tactical teamplay in my opinion, BF2 was better at organizing randoms into playing together. BFBC2 isn't as good as that, but is better for organized people playing together, imo.

Moliat I just don't think you get the point of CHALLENGING TACTICAL GAME PLAY do you????
If you want it as easy and simple and as non challenging as BFBC2 then what do you want next? All in one classes?
having more classes provides a BIGGER challenge because you have to use the different classes and use them on the right maps. But you don't seem to get that....

No, I guess I don't. That's why I'm not trying to find the best competition we can meet for clan matches, and which is why I am more than content with bashing randoms and computer-controlled enemies. And while we're at it; the moon is made of cheese.
I have my opinions and I reserve my right to voice them. If you don't like it, you can just get out.

If you are referring to what I just said, then it sure wasn't sarcasm. The moon really is made of cheese.

Furtz, if you like BF2 so much, why you want 7 classes then? BF2 only had 5 ..
I wonder, explain us the 7 classes you wanna see.
(maybe some will understand you better then aswell)

I only see good things in combining Spec Ops with Sniper, Support with Medic and Engineering with Anti Tank, to be honest.

Re: Battlefield 3 Gameplay
I only see fucking noobs with sniper rifles throwing around C4 while wielding M4's and so and so forth.
I see no tactical skill used when I see an engineer with AT mines, rocket launcher, repairing tool and assault rifle or shotgun.
I can't see any fun in combining a medic with an lmg and assault with ammo box and underslung shotgun or GL....

Oh yeah your right, sorry is was 6 in the morning when I counted it in my head when I didn't sleep lol
But, I don't know which BF2 you where playing, but BF2 wasn't that tacticly ..
Yeah you had some squads that played tacticly, but it was mostly nadespam (still is) people ignoring squadleader, and just run solo, with or without a squad ..

Re: Battlefield 3 Gameplay
Basically playing tactically all boils down to who you're playing with. BF2 was better to play with randoms, though there was no guarantee people would actually obey the commander. I still think BFBC2 is better for organized people.
Playing tactically shouldn't be a problem for you, Furtz. You're in one of the better clans around so you have many people to play with, if you can behave, that is.

Re: Battlefield 3 Gameplay
BF2 was more FUN with randoms, not nessesairly better ..
The commander was only usefull for UAV and spotting
claymores in everycorner from terrorist snipers jihading into 10 people trying to kill ..
Medic with the G3E wich was obviously the best weapon.
Grenades falling out of the sky like rain
Spec ops C4-ing to buildings no one can come
list can go on
Tacticly, BF2 / BC2 are tied imo

Nah Kenny, the L85A1 of the medic was awesome if you could handle it. And I think you mean the G36E by the way.
G3 was a beast as well.
And you gotta love the M249SAW from the USMC.
@Ria cut the WW2 bullshit.

Re: Battlefield 3 Gameplay
I for one hope they fix the knifing mechanic in BF3. It's too unreliable in BC2 as it seems you never know when it will kill, and when it won't.
As for proning, it doesn't really give me strong feelings one way or another. The negative side I see is better camping possibilities for recons.

Re: Battlefield 3 Gameplay
Yeah I agree about the knifing thing. I can only hope it'll be better than BC2 in that regard, which was absolutely atrocious at times.
I'm still anti-prone at this point until proven otherwise. I don't worry about it on games like Black Ops where the maps are generally small, and yeah, you may get smoked once in awhile by a proned out camper, but odds are, he's within grenade range from a nearby spot, or a teammate will see him and kill him or whatever. I just worry about prone on HUGE maps, where you can get killed from a mile away and no one sees the killer.
I guess as long as a killcam returns, and all perches have multiple ways to flank, I'll be able to deal. Otherwise it could turn into a serious problem, kind of like Port Valdez in BC2 right after launch when 6-10 people would be sitting on top of the mountain sniping. lol.

Re: Battlefield 3 Gameplay
I would like for the knifing to be crispy like COD, but not just by clicking in the joystick, I want for the knife to actually have to be drawn. I think thats more real, I wouldn't mind pulling out my knife and keeping it out if it meant my guy would run faster. You know what I mean?
