Re: Total War Games
Lived Rome, absolutely love Empire, especially with the Darth Mod. Just picked up napoleom on sale, so I will probably be trying that out soon. And of course Shogun 2 looks great.

Re: Total War Games
I must have completed the Rome campaign a hundred times.
We used to have a thread about Rome on the old forums, with screenshots, battle plans and all that. Let's revive it, and let's do a couple of games (with the unpatched Rome)!

I didnt get Empire as of yet...on the boundries of my dell xps400. But was it true that it was released with a bug that the enemy AI could not offload troops from ships??

Re: Total War Games
I never had that bug, just sometimes at the near end of a campaign the game would crash. I believe they fixed that one.gdead65 wrote:I didnt get Empire as of yet...on the boundries of my dell xps400. Re: Total War Games
I played Rome: total war endlessly for over year. That was one hell of an awesome game. The dynasty mode (or whatever, I forget) was so awesome. It was just fun to play over and over again and try to take over the world. Ahhhh memories....

Re: Total War Games
I remember getting incredibly frustrated that the long campaign ended after you took 50 provinces.
My last game, which I finished merely a year ago, I had 6 full armies of gold offense and defensve plus golden triple vet experience. Then I took a small shitty village in the desert, and the game ended because it was my 50th province.

Re: Total War Games
I never uninstalled it in the first place, and I always make sure to install it as the first thing I do when I get a new computer.
I'm trying to get a couple of games going, would be awesome having 4 or so DFA people playing a few games together

Re: Total War Games
Strange coincidence, I spent literally all day yesterday playing my first game of Medievil 2 Total War. It took me 2 hours of saying ok...this is my last turn for the night before I actually stopped. Also, don't piss off the Pope by sacking Rome, all hell breaks loose.
