How do you rank up fast ?

I just want to rank up quicker on battlefield. Apparently playing a key support role through the game maximizes xp. Such as medic, dropping health packs and reviving constantly.

Any one else know any tricks of the trade ?

I just dont want to commit all my time to playing battlefield. I want to be able to visit other games and go do things.

Why is it so important for you to level up? Once you reach level 24, there is nothing more to unlock, and so the game experience is not enhanced by leveling up further. Nor are there any level requirements in DFA.

Go for pistol platinum stars.

Go into a conquest game with a bunch of people, get them to all go medics on the other team, and kill them and let them revive eachother. I dont think its cheating, i see people pick me up like idiots in front of an enemy standing next to me.

I mean i never did this....but thats just an idea i had.

Well, it's a form of 'legal cheating', or 'stacking up', as I think it is called. That's why Private Matches don't count (I don't think) towards your Ranks/Unlocks, for just that reason.

But I've seen that in nearly empty pub games, where guys arm and disarm the M-Comm over and over and over and over again until Randoms or whoever come along and break it up by getting on with the match. Or the Medic thing.

Seems like a lot of trouble for nothing. Why not just play the game?

Besides, I don't think you want to reach level 40 that way. I'm sure Building wants the level 40 thing to represent actual experience, and if you shortcut it like that then he might contest it's validity or something for entry, I dunno.

I'd follow Abahab's train of thought: all the big bonus experience from ACTUAL GAMEPLAY comes from all the gold and platinum stars you can achieve, mostly, along with the other pins. Chase them. The only way to do that is through actual gameplay, and represents a certain amount of familiarity with the weapons, etc., and actually getting them with weapons you're not comfortable with / don't like means you had to take the time to adapt to their use, figure out strategies and tactics that play to their strengths while reducing their weaknesses, etc.

Want to survive long using only pistols? Learn to do that and you've probably got some good moves under your belt and are 'worthy' of the level 40 title and entry to the SEAL Team. You follow?

Do that, and you'll reach level 40 faster while at the same time getting the experience that all that entails.

I will do that ria. And during my road to that rank, I will get alot of knowledge under my belt from DFA improving myself even further.

To be honest my best scores have been acheived while providing support to my DFA bretheren.

If this be sitting in the back of a heli fixing them up and popping off the odd rocket out of the side doors or chasing a friendly squad with a medipack and a set of defibrulators.

This is not so say i've not had some really good kill scores, but they are actually harder to get.

My personal aim while im gaming is to go somewhere in the middle, be a strong support gamer while racking up a respectable kill score, I just don't go hunting down the enemy unless ordered to but considering its common pratice for DFA squads to be in the thick of the fighting, the enemy usually has the good manners to come to me.

To give an example of this, I was playing with Kurnel last night on cold war, second from last set of MCOMS, A was down and there was heavy (really heavy) resistance at B. Me and Kurnel setup in the 2 story next to B with MG3 medics on the second floor, we was able to provide covering and suppressing fire over B while pushing back breachers.

We still had to wait for blueberrys to arm however as our defence of the building required both of us, the constant stream of breachers was usually able to down one of us but not both... 2 MG3's in close quarters makes something of a mess, espically with the bottleneck at the stairs.

All in all I died up there about a dozen times, but scored 2-3 times as many kills plus the numerous revives of Kurnel and medipack heals.

At the end of the game, although neither of us armed the MCOMS we both had by far the highest scores with a significant margin between us and the next highest.

http://bfbcs.com/stats_360/Assau1tKing go look at your stats and look at the "next event" area. Start using these weapons to get your next star or what ever event bonous points they give.

And you can look at "weapons stats" to see which ones you need to use more to get a bronze star for it.

Spot the hell out of people when you are playing too, spot them and then shoot at them (probably why i lose so many dam gun fights, im spotting them while they are shooting me in the face) and that way if you dont get the kill, you get 10 for the assist, and 20 for the spot, and if you get the kill thats a nice 50 points. Either way, you make out like a bandit!

Other than boosting (like said earlier in the post, conquest lobby with people being medics and boosting score, arming and disarming mcoms, etc etc) choosing a gun and whoring it out for gold and platinum star, and then finding another and doing the same. Setting a goal with a gun and going for it works really well. Its what 5k points per gold star, there are 9 gold stars so thats 45k points plus when you get that platinum thats 10k so 55k points just going for a platinum star on a gun. Plus all the in game points you get for kills, assists, mcoms, vehicles, spots, etc etc, you will make out like a bandit going that route.

If you suck with a gun at first, dont get discouraged. It takes a few gold stars for you to become good with a gun typically. Learning the burst fire, mobility, etc etc takes a little while especially if you have used one type of gun the whole time.

If you play hardcore, i invite you to try out the M14 with 4x zoom and shoot snipers across the map with it. Ive shot people off the light house in 2 shots (one was a test and then a headshot) from 2 spawns later. It is a semi auto fire, but its 1 hit upper chest and up in hardcore (the same as the M1).

If you are in there squad, you get 50 points everytime the gunner kills.
Trust me, when kurnal is flying and kazo is gunning, you WILL get A LOT of 50 points.
and IF kurnal ever gets hit, you can repair.

More importantly work on each and every gun,gradually find your best/worst gun.Start with your worst gun ,as you get 100 kills(achieve your 1/2star which ever your on) move on to another gun.this goes for Pistols,Rocket Launchers etc.
You'll see the Points Rack up.
I hope to have every gun Platinum-ed ,except the sniper Rifles and the AEK assault Rifle which i hate, by the time BF# comes out.

Things that makes me rambo level;
- Medic support, revive and the heal perks, boy with those perks you can rack the points.
- Engineer, stick to the damn tanks.
Repair the tanks, and RPG the tanks they are facing. (you mostly get the destroy + repairs)
- CQC Recon, always in the heat of the battle, those motion mines will add up! + get a good CQC weapon and you get shitloads of kills

- look up your incomming goldstars

Trace dart anything that moves, 80 point for a kill instead of 50 sounds like a good trade-off for not having a sidearm, donut?

Oh and don't knife that UAV controller for crying out loud, trace him then take out the station itself(30 points for dart,50 for a kill, 100 for destroying a vehicle)

Nah but seriously, follow ria's advice and just focus on improving your overall skills.
