I use the turtle beach earforce x11. Not bad, I like that I can independently adjust the game and chat volume.

I have the turtle beach x41's and Im very happy with them. I was he'll doubtful that they would actually be able to recreate surround sound with only 1 driver per ear
but they actually do a pretty good job.
However I was a little dissapointed with the mid range sounds as they can be a little scratchy at times. Also the wireless has the tendancy to pop and crack fairly often. That could be due to te 2.4ghz frequeny they run on being interfered with by things like routers cordless phones etc.
If you can spare the coin for them you won't be dissapointed, I don't think they are as good as some of the reviews make them out to be, but they are still a great headset.

Ok this maybe a stupid question, so here goes it.i've heard alot about Turtle Beach Headsets, but how do they Work? Do you here sound from the game aswell as the Chat? Are they really worth it?
What would you Rate them out of 10?

They are definitely 10/10 I know it sounds a little bit stupid hearing game sound and chat through the same speakers but being able to turn the volume up or down for chat and game sound individually makes this no problem. Heavily worth it.

It depends on what headset you get, some of the higher end models have a signal processor that emulates dolby digital surround sound.
The the surround sound ones plug into you optical output on your xbox and then a cord to your controller for the mic feed.
You hear all the sound form the game as well as the chat (chat volume is independently controlled which is cool).
Considering what else is out there, the surround ones a definitely very cool, id rate the x41's at 7.5/10

I have mine hooked through my tuner instead of the xbox....
The headsets are well worth it. They also prevent 'shouting' for you can subtly hear your own voice.
Unlike with the standard oem sets, you can whisper and still be heard. Even when I am alone, i still use these headsets.

i have the triton pro's and have had every turtle beach except for the ones under 60$. i like my tritons but the X41's i had were the best headphones IMO as long as your using rechargeable batteries if not you can go through them pretty quick.

I got the x31's this weekend. Its unbelievable how much more of the subtle sounds you hear. Having the sound on the "War Tapes" mode is awesome. The X31s are stereo sound, I didn't do any research before I bought them so didn't get the x41s because I didn't know they existed. I saw that you could upgrade the X31's to 7.1 digital surround with their DSS modual so I bought that. I just got the DSS delivered today and will be trying them out. I love the earphones because when I play at night my kids can sleep (their room is right next door to my xbox tv)and I can turn up the volume to the level I want. I also have some minor hearing loss due to....shooting guns so the muffs are perfect for the in game sound and hearing everyone chat and hearing Noble and Drunken complain about people with 12 power scopes!
