The Male Ego

Do you have a healthy ego?

I hope so.

Ego is what gets you up in the morning, to go attack your day, kill the Wildebeest, and all that. It makes you competitive, gives you drive, and edge. It can sharpen your mind, give you energy when you think you have none left, and speak to you about what it is that you must do next.

In short, your ego can give you power. The power to accomplish great things.

But your ego can also take you out.

Your ego can make you immune to feedback and positive change; it can keep you stuck where you are. If you 'hurt' your ego, it can keep you from trying, and leave you feeling useless and alone. It can create hubris and false pride, make you push everyone else away from you.

In short, your ego can make you Buy Your Own Bullshit.

Know the difference, and be the Master of your Ego, and not a slave to it.

My ego is roughly 1/3rd the size of the empire state building.
