We usually just use each other's names... (or shortened versions)

So as in my example, I'd call you Yayo or Dayz, whichever you preferred...

'Pause-breaking' is important !!! (And I need to remember this also)

So in my above example, I said to Yayo:

"Yayo - flank right! Two tangos East of Bravo: 4 o'clock rear!"

This is often followed up by more information, such as:

"One Medic, one Engi, getting ready to fire RPG!!!"

Which is a good thing; useful information and all that. But pause or 'take a beat' after the first call-out, because if you just continue on with your diatribe you might not let someone else get their response out, such as:

    Yayo: "I'm on it."
Jimmy: "2 more spawning on them."
    SupaPro: "Backing up Yayo."
riafomh: "One Medic, one Engi, getting ready to fire RPG!!! - oh never mind..."

And sure, you might have run out of time to warn about the impending RPG, but hey, war is chaotic...

When speed is paramount it's even shorter with just number and location:

    Two, blue container.

    One, attic "L" corner.

    Whole squad, garage.

Simply put if your communication is short, concise, understandable and to the point, then all is good.

I wil admit I can sometimes give additional information beyond my original call out as I discover it.

    For example:

I spot 2 enemies flanking the defensive perimeter, I spot them and give call out of 2 tangos flanking and where, if I then discover their class or objective I will broadcast that information.

Agreed I have the Turtle Beach X11's which are one of the cheapest models and it is honestly the best purchase I have ever made for gaming.

I bought the wired x11 headset two weeks ago and its a cracking bit of kit, its loud & clear once correctly set up and both volumes adjusted accordingly, only downside it does come with a lot of cables so will look abit messy, my friend has the wireless one and one of the downsides is if your using it and its charging it makes funny buzzing/echo noises!

I got sold this Headset and Mic from a second hand store, it was a turtle beach pair, the headphones are great but the mic will only work if plugged into that little pink audio socket on PC's???
I have no idea how to use it with my 360, interestingly enough though you have to plug the usb on the headphones into the xbox for them to work, my TV doesnt have a mic input so I have no idea wtf I have to do lol...

With headsets that require TV mic input then you really do need a TV with a mic input socket or equilivant adapter.

Your only other option is to pick up a standard xbox wired headset and mic as they run directly through the controller rather then the TV.

There is a trick to using the xbox model headset, you need to turn the game and master volume down to about 60% in both sysetm settings and in game settings and max out voice settings. Once you do this you should be able to hear and be heard without little difficulty.

Not much new on this end, just been keeping busy.

You should have another cord that plugs into your controller then the USB goes in your xbox and you plug the cords into your tv along with the green sound cord that usually goes into the computer into one of the cords now coming out of your TV and it should work.. if it doesnt what ones do you have???

Tech support...does take me back cheers Best thing to do is to check their knowledgebase, choose the model number and look up the installation guides. Depending on the what xbox you've got, you may(most likely) need an adapter cable. Have fun!

I got the impression he was missing that one...

Yeah, it piggy-backs or hijacks the left and right RCA stereo jacks that go from your xbox to your (TV or stereo?), depending on how you've jacked in your sound. From those 'piggy-back jacks', they splice together into a piece (the little green audio connector) which your mic/headset plugs its green audio connector into...

On the white sound box controller there should be a hole with a controller symbol, and you insert the other lead there that goes into your xbox controller. Then just make sure you have the sound all hooked up and the USB into the xbox and hey-presto ! It will work.

    I have a Turtlebeach.

go to their website...shows all wiring configs.
Depending if you have a HDMI hookup or not will determine your hookup, I do not have a HDMI adapter for xbox so my setup is

3.5 mm out of Stereo TUNER Plugged into GREEN Plug
    USB into USB Slot
small cord from controller plugged in
