Mass Effect 3
Jesus tapdancing Christ this is going to be epic! The only game ever to match the Mass Effect series was Zelda Ocarina of Time (N64). I've been waiting for so damn long for this game, and I shit you not when I say that this trailer gives me a serious chill down my spine.
Holy shit!

Re: Mass Effect 3
ME1: epic storyline (like seriously, the best I've encountered). Felt like the best novel/movie of all times, except you're indirectly controlling it by your actions.
ME2: still epic storyline (though not quite as much as ME1), but vastly improved gameplay. Felt like an action movie / thriller, the storytelling and effects were mindblowing.
ME3: Jesus, Jesus Christ!

Then you have really missed out on something. The Mass Effect games are the best games ever, easy (parallelled only by Zelda Ocarina of Time).

Re: Mass Effect 3
Agreed with Moliat. Mass Effect was the game that totally blew me away. I have never felt so excited to start a game when i got ME2 (except when i got halo 2 ;P)

yes do that, and stick with what ever platform you start off with, so you can use your old save.

Re: Mass Effect 3
Definitely. Start with ME1 and make the choices natural to you. Don't worry about "being a good guy because it's best" or "being a bad guy because it's cool", just do what's natural and follow the storyline from ME1 to ME2 and eventually over to ME3, and I guarantee you that you will find a new favourite video game series.

Depending on how much I get paid im going to pick it up tomorrow. Kind of doubt I'll have spare cash though.

Re: Mass Effect 3
I'm real curious to see how they stop an armada of Reapers when only one was major pain in the ass. Mass Effect 2 isn't even a year old yet, but I can't wait for this either yet we're left salivating for another year after this trailer.

Re: Mass Effect 3
They said ME3 is set to be released during the holidays 2011, in other words the same time span between ME1 and ME2: 2 years.

Re: Mass Effect 3
I know, but releasing a bad ass trailer like that then making me wait for another year, even though I expected it, it's still a big tease. :P

Re: Mass Effect 3
It's a kick to the nuts to be honest. It was the same thing with ME2, even worse; their teaser trailers were highly misleading.

Re: Mass Effect 3
The only thing I'd compare with Mass Effect is the older Knights of the Old Republic which Mass Effect clearly descended from, both being Bioware games and all.

Re: Mass Effect 3
Well Mass Effect 2 revolved around a lot of cover based shooting, which is somewhat like a Gears of War mechanic. Overall though it is a Bioware game through and through.
