After playing for several hours with DFA members, with people leaving and new ones coming in, a sort of DFA perpetual-party going on, I finally needed a real break more than just running to refresh my drink and take a piss...
So after coming back, I watched and listened with the headphones while doing some other stuff (like these forums) and just sort of listened to the chatter and watched what was going on in the battle.
It was a unique experience.
It works a little better when the team is on Defense, but either way, I found it to be quite informative.
Besides being able to watch and move the view about somewhat from the spawn screen(s), I even eventually came in as a Recon (so I wouldn't get kicked) and just sort of sat nearby and spied on the whole business.
I'm thinking this is a GREAT way to observe our tactics in action, both visually and verbally, see how different people lead and follow, watch the whole thing unfold and see if I can see why this method worked so well and why that method didn't work so well, etc., etc.
I DID make a point of saying that I was there, but not really there, and to just ignore me on the battlefield.
I dare say, it's a little weird, watching some guy run right past me to go arm the M-Comm, and I'm right there watching him; I could shoot him, but I'm JUST WATCHING... Let the guilt go, let the guilt go...
So anyway, prepare yourself everyone - I may do this sometimes in the future. I think I can give better personal feedback for people, and I think it might help me to help us find our weak-spots for those rare moments when we are actually losing...
BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING YOU....
MWU-HAHAHAHhahaha....
