Just watched the EA press conference...the BF3 stuff made me ruin a perfectly good pair of shorts.

BETA release in September and game release is set for October 25th!!!!
They also just had a live demo with some tank driving and a short preview of multiplayer. Looks like their will be knifing.

Prone in multi? God let it be nothing like COD or MOH!

Prone had always been in the franchise until the Bad Company games. If anything it shows they are getting back to their roots, which is a good thing. Although I am worried about sniper balancing mechanics.

MoH doesn't have prone (MoH 2010 doesn;t have it atleast)

What about the sniper mechanics?

Currently the only way to tell a living bush wookie from a dead one is if they are laying down...

One balancing 'mechanic' is that flanking a prone target makes it much harder for him to react fast enough to you.

I really REALLY hope you have to stop shooting or something of the sort of animation between crouching and prone....otherwise were going to get a crap load of CoD snipe whores doing that crap all over. I mean, i wouldnt mind doing it since i lol at people who fail at it in general, but i really hope there is some way to combat the whole wookie class. I mean there is.....just shoot a rocket in their direction and guessing from what ive seen, you can basically blow up anything so its not that easy for them to hide. Especially in urban area's. Idk bout you but i see a wookie walkin down the street and i put a knife through his brain and show him my brown eye. Just sayin =]

Anyone else notice what seems to be an assassination type mechanic in the multiplayer? Possible that those QTE's from single player will make there way over to multiplayer?

Wow, just wow! Just watched the videos and all I can say is if the tank combat in multiplayer is anything like the single player I'm going to be stoked. The thermal view is mad and I can imagine owning people in this view. Can't wait to keep on tanking!

Be sweet if it was one of the perks, like alt weapon, warhead, thermal view

i think the tanks can now carry three guys there seems to be a mounted gun on top of it..

The explosions look great so far. And everything looks like it runs smoothly on Multiplayer.

Should be just like it is in BC2 have the main gun with alt weapon like the showed in the demo. And then the 2nd guy using the machine gun. Except that in BC2 the 2nd guy was inside and it looks like in BF3 the 2nd guy will be sticking out of the tank. Wonder if you will have the chance to throw grenades down inside lol

Im not sure i'd want to have my head sticking out of a tank with the usual ordinance thats thrown at them, it sounds somewhat unplesant to say the least.
