Post by Kaos Mon Apr 25, 2011 11:43 pm

I haven't heard anything from anybody in the clan about their car(s) or even if, working on/racing/wrecking/admiring cars, is something you guy like to do. i know Dented has a car (assuming he's still got it) that he put quiet a bit of work into (don't recall exactly what it is though) and over the last 2 years I've really gotten into racing and building cars myself.

So here's the beginning of this thread:

feel free to just post text or pictures (preferably)!

you can post your current ride(s), your favorite(s), or dream car(s).

I just want to see if people besides myself are into this and what yall's taste in cars is Very Happy

There is another post that I started which has pictures of my cars. The Torana pictured is not mine but the same car/condition as mine. I have a Holden VY SS series 2 commodore, and a Holden SLR 5000 LX Torana. The torana is a 5L V8 4 speed manual and the Commodore is a 5.7 V8 6 speed manual.

I like your 350Z it looks great.

I don't know much about cars, and I don't have my camera available, so I found a couple of pictures online.

The car I'm driving the most, BMW 335i M convertible:
    The Car Thread 2300590094_36f52745ed

With the roof down it looks like this, except the below BMW doesn't have the M sports package.

    The Car Thread 2008-BMW-335i3

308 HP, V6, M sports package. Nicknamed "The cheesy privileged kid's ride" by my friends.

    The other, Volvo XC90
    The Car Thread 2011%20volvo%20xc90%20-%202

Nicknamed "The stock market tractor" by my friends.

The last one, though I very rarely drive it, Audi A4 avant:

    The Car Thread Ag-09a4avant-ltfrt1

As much as I love driving these, my first own car will be a serious downgrade. Up to now I haven't been funding the car(s) myself, but when I start, it will be a transition to say the least.

    My garage consists of:

1 Chevrolet Suburban 1995 1500 model with the Big Block V8 of course and now lifted suspension (35cm),

    1 Volkswagen Passat 1995, 1.9 diesel trimmed to 150hp,

1 Skoda Octavia (just simply a boring car...)

1 Fiat Panda from 1980 (da LOVE machine)

And the flagship: An Audi A8 2001, trimmed with biturbo and some other adjustments. Almost everything of extra equipment from Audi Exclusive as Satelite navigation, TV, and so on..

I always get motivated by visualizing a goal, something physical that I can picture in my mind. Hence the car I aim to easily afford in the future is this, the Aston Martin DB9:

Love cars, and everything about them...However, since I moved to China, I haven't bought a car, just been driving others for the past 8 years. Here I've got a motorbike and electric scooter, taxis when I need to go far (they're cheap)...and parking is an issue...In Hong Kong, a pa rking space can cost you almost 1000USD a month, just for a space. Anyways, since I don't really need a car and the traffic sucks, I just take subways and other public transportation if I don't drive my bikes.

In the states, I had a Mazda MX-6

Maybe it's me but all cars are too me is getting from A to B. I don't really care for them and I doubt I'll ever purchase one along the lines of what you guys want.

That said, I would spend thousands of dollars on these...

My car as of right now is a manual silver 2005 Chevy Cavalier with American racing rims (haha I know but it is still my first car so I am not complaining). It is actually a really good car. First learned how to drive stick shift from this car. Probably will not move to a automatic car anytime soon. But my next vehicle that I will be working to get is a Jeep Wrangler. My ultimate dream car is from Gone in Sixty Seconds the Shelby GT 500 Mustang. That car is sharp.
