DFA battlefield moments Empty Celebration Thread

Post by riafomh Mon Nov 22, 2010 4:38 pm

    Hey look! Over there!

    ( - fooled you - .... - stole your helicopter - )

Then I parked it in the open space between the M-Comm stations above "Hamburger Hill", where each minigun could cover the 2 valley approaches, and the Blackhawk was 'protected' by the 2 hills whose far sides are too steep for the enemy to climb (or climb effectively).

Then on the last stand, I parked it on top of the building between the 2 gun emplacements; jumped on the minigun myself, where I could cover the entire yard below and the 2 gate approaches. Scored lots of kills...

I threw an AT Mine in front
Threw an AT Mine in back
And then I did pull out
My repair tool from my sack

His gunner could not reach me
And his turret was too long
So as I loosened nuts and bolts
    I sang a happy song

    "Righty-tighty, Lefty-loosie
When you go BOOM your guts are juicy"

    The tank began to quiver
And the tank began to shake
He knew he had to get out of there
And that was his last mistake

A few nuts and bolts would do it
The tank's life hung by a thread
That's when he moved in panic
An AT Mine under his tread

    "Righty-tighty, Lefty-loosie
When you go BOOM your guts are juicy"

My imagination does not suffice in producing a worthy BC2 poem to match yours, but what I do have is a lot of DFA experiences that I appreciate. Examples include: watching Crush knife 6 people on top of the construction building at A on White Pass and hearing about Spartan, OhhYeah and one more placing AT mines on the ground at the US spawn on Atacama Desert conquest, driving a quad over it, blowing up the mines and sending the quad skywards, crashing into the enemy helicopter between A and B and killing both passengers.

Apparently it did. The quad driver hopped off just before it crashed into the Havoc and killed both the Russian passengers. The DFA quad-driver parachuted to the ground and survived...

I once dropped a heli with a shot from a tank. The turret, not the machine-gun. I was brand new (Rank One I think), didn't know what I was doing (didn't even know how to use the machine gun), just drove it a little up a hill and started firing...

    Beginner's luck.

Now that I'm 'experienced', I know how impossible it is to do that... and never have since...

Umm... you sure he didn't jump off the Quad BEFORE it got blown skyward?... Wouldn't the Quad driver die when it went BOOM?...

You've got to remember there's no friendly fire on normal mode. It's just like strapping C4 on a friendly UAV, popping the charges doesn't damage the friendly vehicle at all, the blast just pushes the vehicle in a certain direction Smile

He did, the AT mines were detonated using C4. Just like any friendly explosive, AT mines just push the vehicle in a specific direction (depending on the placement). Someone else also placed C4 which was detonated at the right time so the whole explosion from all charges combined sent the quad soaring Smile
