    TV blur, misplaced pixels Empty TV blur, misplaced pixels

    Post by KennyMcKillmick Tue Dec 28, 2010 2:48 pm

    So, I bought a 2nd hand 42inch (106cm) flatscreen TV (Hitachi 42PD6600)
    When it's set to TV, it's great, but when I swap to xbox, color pixels are misplaced, and not sharp AT ALL.
    I've tried to put the scart into different inputs(donno if the english translation of "scart" is the same, anyway scart = sound and video and stuff, red-white-yellow)
    I even tried to put the 3 color wires into my TV alone, still the same affect ..

    With my old TV I had no probs at all..

    I don't have an HDMI cable yet, but when I set my xbox on my parents flatscreen (39inch) it's really sharp ..

    anyone have any knowlegde if this?

    You're using a SCART cable, which means it's displaying at standard quality. You should use an HD cable, either HDMI or the colour coded 5x Jack cables. You must also set the picture quality manually in the console settings on the xbox.

    I had to look that stuff up on Google, I didn't recognize European only connectors and TV standards.

    NTSC = North America
    PAL = Europe/South America/Australia/New Zealand
    SECAM = Eurasia/Asia/Middle East/Mediteranean
